I ABSOLUTELY love Jazzercise, I've tried all different types of exercise but this is serious FUN. You sweat whilst smiling and laughing, what more could you ask for. The routines are fab (high and low impact options, warm ups and cool downs). The instructors are all amazing individually. They are so full of enthusiasm and energetic either face to face or online, you instantly feel part of the Jazzercise family. Everybody is very friendly and it's a fantastic vibe and atmosphere. Being new to the area (3 years ago) I was warmly welcomed by instructor Sarah Kirk (she is one in a billion) and I haven't looked back since. Thank-you to everyone for making me feel part of something special.

I have been doing Jazzercise for a number of years and I like it because it starts off slowly, warming up muscles, gets quiker and then slows down again and finishes with stretches. There are always different levels too, which means you can still join in if you feel less energetic! The instructors are good at engaging with us and it’s a good place to make new friends.

After 30 years of being a seriously addicted runner, I was looking for a change when I came across an ad for Jazzercise. When I returned from the first class, my husband met me at the door and with a horrified look on his face said, ‘What happened?!’ My hair was plastered to my forehead, my face was red, and I was sweating profusely. I replied, ‘Wow, was that a workout!’ That was 13 years ago and I have faithfully attended Jazzercise since.

So why am I such a fan? I get to exercise every muscle group in my body in a non-threatening situation whilst enjoying music and the company of other women (the social aspect of Jazzercise makes it even more attractive!). The overall health benefits of being a regular Jazzercise attendee are many: toned muscles; increased endurance, coordination and balance; controlled weight; and general body fitness. As well as these physical benefits, Jazzercise also promotes emotional well-being and the building of a positive self image. Both my GP and a radiologist have noted my core strength and muscle tone. Now those are big compliments, ones I would not have received left to my own devices!

Personally, Jazzercise is not something I do grudgingly. I am excited and out the door, ready to see my friends and to do what I know is good for me. There’s nothing quite like meeting a fellow Jazzerciser in town and having her say, ‘You look great in clothes!’

Time flies when you are having fun and I can’t believe it’s over 10 years since I first walked into a Jazzercise class. The classes cater for all ages and abilities, the instructors give clear instructions and alternative exercises to suit all abilities. Best of all no one judges anyone, it’s a lovely way to exercise.

The music is up to date and varies genres. There is various formats of classes so it keeps you interested and challenging for your body .The instructors are full of energy and very motivated which is infectious. Wouldn't be without it !

I have been attending Jazzercise classes for over 15 years but the contribution that our local instructors have given this year has been truly outstanding. When the lockdown was implemented, they worked hard to provide continuity to our classes, sacrificing part of their own living area to give an exercise space from which to teach and cheerfully managed the many significant technical challenges that online provision creates. They went the extra mile to provide both morning and evening classes and always with good humour and encouragement. The genuine delight they have shown in being able to deliver these sessions has always been evident and this continues to be the case as we return to face to face classes on-site. I have nothing but praise for their dedication and commitment to the group in addition to the skill and expertise shown. They have enabled us to continue our level of fitness at a time when all other sport was unable to operate and that has had an impact on our health and wellbeing, during this very unsettling time. I, like many others in the group, feel very fortunate to have a group of enthusiastic and committed instructors, who clearly demonstrate their love of Jazzercise.
